Trick or Treat!

I love Halloween and I think the kids do too! This year was soooo much fun. The kids were at a perfect age, except Ireland of course. They really "got it" and had a blast. Riley and Ireland were beautiful bees and Trevor was the cutest frog you've ever seen! We all met at Crystal and Steve's house. Ate yummy chili and taco soup and cornbread. There was a total of 10 kids, 8 of them trick or treated! They held hands, ran up to the houses, knocked on the doors and held their bags out for candy...how cute. The only thing that I am bummed is our camera was acting up and wasnt auto-focusing! So dont mind the blurriness...aggh! As a picture freak you can only imagine how irritated this made me!

Preschool Halloween Party!

Today Riley and I went to her new preschool Halloween party. She starts there next Tuesday. Its Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 1-3:30 pm. We are so excited for her to start. Shes such a shy fly and this is really going to give her some social skills and independence. Today she really suprised me though...she was of course shy at first but after a while she was running around, doing arts & crafts and having a grand ole time! I hope she is really going to enjoy it!!

Good 'Ol Gpa!

Gpa and Auntie Mikayla came down for a visit the other day. Riley was asking for "Kayla" all day and her and Trevor were soo excited when they got here! They brought a Halloween toy for each kid. We hung out, played and visited for a while and then went out to eat at Panda Express! Thanks Gpa and Auntie Mikayla!

BHR Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Bob and Linda's annual Better Homes Realty client appreciation pumpkin patch and bbq! We all had a great time! Bob and Zach looked great dressed as nerds..which wasn't hard for them!! All the kids wore their costumes, we ate lots of good food, played, trick or treated, and the kids loved the bounce house. This is such a fun tradition.

I guess I'll do another one...since its about my hubby!

Ireland is not a big fan but it is so good for her to have tummy time. It usually only lasts about 4-5 mins. We're trying to work on that!

Last weekend the 5 of us went downtown to take Zach to the train museum. We also got to ride on a train and they had it all spooked out for Halloween! Afterwards, we walked through the streets of Old Sac and stopped at a little side street they had decorated...check it out...we managed to get some cute pics. In the middle of walking through this street, I noticed this Mexican family and the elderly woman kept looking at us and talking in Spanish to her son. Finally, I guess after he worked up the courage to ask us he said" okay I have to ask, how old are you guys because you look like your sixteen?" We told him we were 25 and 28 and all he said was "wow, thats a lot" as he looked at the kids. Zach and I always get looks and stares when were out with the kids...people probably thinking we're not married and these kids werent planned (well..Ireland was, just a little later down the line,haha!!) I just think that I am going to be lovin it when Im older and I hear that :)

Hooray..we're Pre-Approved!!

So as you know the housing market has completely dropped and its the perfect time to buy a house! Zach and I have missed owning our own home so much and the time has come again to start looking!! We got our pre-approval letter yesterday which makes us official soon-to-be homebuyers!! Bob gets the fun job of having Zach and I call, text, and email him at all hours when we have seen a house that we have to look at! So wish us luck on this exciting adventure and hopefully soon you'll be coming to visit us in our new home!!!

Drive-Ins

So last night my wonderful hubby got a great idea to take the kids to a drive-in movie! We all had a blast! We gave the kids a bath and put em in their warm pj's and popped popcorn before we left and put it in little baggies for Riley and Trevor along with some candy corn. They each brought their pillows and a big blanket. We opened the back of the Suburban and made a little bed for the 5 of us! We saw the new Beverly Hills Chihuaua movie and it was actually pretty cute. I think we will have to do this more often.

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!

So for Trevor's birthday our friends Lisa, Corey, and Emily got him a membership to the Train Museum in downtown Sacramento! Such a cool idea! I love gifts that give us new things to go out and do! We all went to check it out on Monday and it was so fun. The kids loved walking through the trains and Trevor loves anything that makes loud noises and moves like trains, planes and motorcycles so he loved the Thomas the Train exhibit where he could start the train and get a better look by going under the table and standing up in a big glass window!

Yesterday we went to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm and had a blast! I have always heard of this place but never been there and decided it would be fun to try! Wow, it was awesome and HUGE! We were expecting to just go pick out a few pumpkins, maybe do a hay ride and have a treat or 2...were we wrong...we were there almost 5 hours and didnt even get to everything! They have the biggest pumpkins, hay rides, a corn maze,train ride, petting zoo, slides, shops, pig races and a huge mountain you climb and slide down! So much fun...we are definitely going to make this a family tradition for the years to come!

Sicklings :(

Well it has happened...it seems like every year around this time we all get sick. It started Wednesday morning when both Riley and Trevor woke up with runny noses. Then the sneezing started and I just knew oh man its coming!! Riley's little voice is just about gone, she sounds like a whole different kid. Now Ireland is all stuffed up and has a hard time sleeping and I have a sore throat and am achy!! Cross your fingers Zach doesnt get it but as tradition goes...he will!

After all that climbing we went to the park to eat lunch and play. I snuck in some photo time of course! Riley and Trevor just love their little sister. They are always making her smile and now she is starting to giggle. I am so lucky to be able to stay at home and watch them grow everyday!
