What We've Been Up To.....

We had some very rainy days around here so I bundled the kids up and put on their raincoats and they ran through the rain and jumped in puddles.

Last Saturday we spent the whole day planting flowers in the front yard. Riley and Trevor helped out so much. The flowers look beautiful!

Nicole and Makalyn came over a few Saturdays ago and we all made a yummy breakfast. The kids had a ball playing and even pretended to have a sleepover in their room. We promised Makalyn she could really sleep over very soon(maybe when Mommy has her baby!)

All dressed up for Valentine's Day! We took the kids to the Under The Sea 3D Imax movie Dowtown~it was really neat and the kids loved it(they looked oh so cute in their huge 3d sunglasses) Then we took a long walk to Rick's Dessert Diner and each picked out a delicious dessert! What a fun day...we loved spending it with our 3 perfect punkins!!!

So I am layin in bed early this morning with Riley and Trevor and he is playing with my cell which he always does. After a few mins. he puts it down and it all of a sudden starts to ring. I pick it up and the lady says " Hi this is Citrus Heights Police, we just received a hang up call from this number, is everything ok?" I sincerely apologize and tell her it was my 2 yr old son.....how in the heck did he manage just to dial 9-1-1???

Best Friends!

Tonight was a much needed break for me and my best friend....most of you know who she is but just incase you dont her name is Nicole. We have been best friends since 2nd grade! She is the most loyal, caring, trustworthy friend you could ever ask for!
Tonight we had a "girls nite" and it was so much fun. Nicole is due with her 2nd baby on March 20th but could be any moment now as she is already 3cm dialated....yay...cant wait to meet little Dustin or Mariah(yes I had some influence on them not finding out the sex!!) We went to Chili's and had a delicious meal. We had so much time to eat slowly...very rare when youre used to going to a restraunt with 3 kids...we just talked, gossiped(thats what best friends do best of course) and enjoyed the quiet time to just visit. She had 3 good contractions during dinner that she had to stop talking and breathe through but we'd pick right up where we left off in our conversation. After dinner we went to see Bride Wars..I know, I know total cheesy girly flick but it was perfect. 2 best friends since they were little girls getting engaged then married...we've been there done that!
We made a promise tonight that we have to keep this new little tradition up. Also, we'll switch and have date night where one weekend we drop the kids off with them and go out and vice versa the next time.
Thanks Nicole for being my best friend! I love you to death and I know we'll be old and gray and still gossiping 50 yrs from now!!!

Crockpots!

I think they just may be the BEST invention ever! I use my crockpot at least once a week and it makes meals so easy and the best part is......your whole house smells like you have been slaving over the stove all day....yummy!! As I type this right now all I can smell is the aroma of porkchops smothered in Cream of Mushroom Soup :)

This morning while I was getting out of the shower and getting ready I heard Riley singing. I listened a little closer and realized she was singing "Womanizer, womanizer!!" by Britney Spears! Thought it was the cutest thing.....wonder who she heard singing that?? :)

Over Looked

To my Beautiful wife,You are my heart and soul and I love you more and more with every beat of my heart. I want you to know that I truly see all the little things you do in your day to day life for me and the kids. Such as

Feed the kids breakfast every morning

Get the kids dressed

Clean the house

Pay bills

Take Riley to School

Make dinner for me and the kids

Take the kids out to play

These are just a few of things you do, and you never complain or get upset and I think that it takes a truly beautiful person to do all that you do, and not have much time for yourself. The reason I put this up is to say I know when I have had a long day at work and I come home I want a break and just want to relax. But I want me and all guys that work, and have wife’s that stay home to think of the day your wife had doing her 24hr job with the kids and when you get home to let her put her feet up for once and lets start letting are wife’s have a nice break.

Bills...agghh!!

Doesn't it seem like sometimes all you get in the mail is bills! I swear it just took me an hour to write all the bills out....pheww! I love the days when you check the mail and there is no ads or bills and instead you get a card, magazinge or even better yet...a check! :)
